Instagram can be an epic timewaster! But if you’re going to get scrolling, why not follow dancers who can inspire and motivate you? There are several wonderful influences and influencers on all social media platforms. Because you can now upload one-minute videos, instead of the old-school 15 seconds, Instagram has become a haven for beautiful dance videos, dance photos and dancers of all backgrounds. Here are 10 Instagram accounts that we find interesting and inspirational. Check them out.

#1. Timmy Blankenship: @timmyblankenship

Travis Wall commented about him in a post saying, “Whenever I create a new phrase to teach, I usually picture Timmy Blankenship dancing it in my brain, and I patiently wait until we’re reunited to see him take it to another level!” He really does just that — takes movement to a whole other level. He is captivating, dynamic and different, and we can’t get enough.

#2. Alison Stroming: @alisonstroming 

Former Dance Theatre of Harlem dancer and all around beautiful person, Alison Stroming delivers on daily inspiration through photographs, videos and uplifting messages.

#3. Candy Tong: @candytong12

Complexions Contemporary Ballet dancer posts some of the most beautiful dance photographs on the app. Her lines, muscles and passion for dance shine through all of her photos, and we can’t help but just scroll and scroll through her posts, getting lost in so much beauty.

#4. Alex Wong: @alexdwong

If you need a pick-me-up in the midst of a crazy day, Alex Wong is your guy. From his hilarious dance-parody posts, to his just overall positive attitude and happy nature, we find ourselves brought to his account several times a day.

#5. Michael Dameski: @michaeldameski

Currently competing in the hit dance show, World of Dance, the Australian-born Dameski is a show-stopper. His daring movements are bold and difficult, but also technically sound and exciting to watch.

#6. Sean Lew: @lewser

Young phenom Sean Lew brings fresh content to the dance world constantly, especially on Instagram. He’s one of those dancers who can do anything, and everything he does is beyond exceptional. Hip hop, contemporary, jazz, singing…you name it, he can do it. Oh, and he’s only 15.

Mouth-watering food photos with recipes, as well as lovely dance photos, is why Kimmie landed a spot on our list.

If you want to watch the most gorgeous adagio videos every day, head to Issac Martin’s page. He is currently a student at The Royal Ballet School and posts pretty much daily. Those feet!

The Australian Ballet Senior Artist not only posts beautiful dance action shots, but she also posts a lot about her daughter and life as a working ballerina and mum.

There are things that dancer Audrey Case can do that we did not know were humanly possible. As a dancer with Royal Flux Dance, she is thrown in the air, falls from great heights and can manipulate her body so fluidly that she should win some kind of award.
